I've slowly been accumulating cars since the beginning of the year. Slot racing is a blast, and the cars are fun to goof around with and modify. Plus, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than playing around with full size cars, and you don't have to worry about gas costs.

Track

This is my current track layout. I still need to name a few of the turns. D225 is so named because it is a 225 degree turn. The track is built on two 4'x8' tables arranged in an "L" shape. The stacked back straights are done by running the upper track on a 1x12 board suspended about 4" above the table. The lower straight is lit by rope light hung under the 1x12.

Recently I made some changes to my track. This included building supports for the elevation changes and adding aprons. This actually made the circuit a bit more challenging, as cars could no longer "cheat" by scraping the rear fender along the guard rail. Times in the table below reflect laps on the modified track.
